PEAK PERFORMANCE

Fifth Avenue Homes maximize the following initiatives across all homes to provide an exceptional living experience.

Smart Home Technology

Set the temperature through your phone and track monthly usage metrics. With a programmable thermostat you can adjust the temperature to the exact point of your own personal comfort. For every degree you raise or lower the temperature in your home during the heat of the summer or the cold of winter you can save up to 2 percent on your utility bills.

Indoor Air Quality

Improve indoor air quality while saving energy. HRV systems (Heat Recovery Ventilation) recover heat from the outgoing stale air and transfer it to the incoming fresh air, making it easier to heat or cool. Additionally, they provide balanced ventilation by supplying fresh outdoor air while simultaneously exhausting stale indoor air from areas like bathrooms and kitchens, which helps to maintain a healthy indoor environment and minimize energy waste.

Energy Efficiency

Insulate the roof and walls for energy efficiency benefits. By installing R-50 insulation in the roof and R-24 insulation in the walls, you reduce heat transfer and minimize heat loss or gain. This helps maintain a stable indoor temperature, which in turn reduces the load on heating and cooling systems, resulting in lower energy bills. Proper insulation can also help keep the home cooler in hot climates and warmer in cold climates, which can provide additional energy savings.

Water Saving Initiatives

Conserve water while maintaining performance. Installing water-efficient fixtures such as low-flow faucets, showerheads, and toilets. These fixtures use less water compared to traditional fixtures, helping to conserve water, and reduce water waste and cost of utilities. By incorporating these measures into your new home, you contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally responsible living.

Sophisticated Design Principles

Promote energy efficiency and reduce emissions. In Canada, appliance efficiency is regulated by the government. Appliances like refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, water heaters, furnaces, and ACs are rated based on their energy consumption and efficiency. Efficient models use less water and energy, have variable speed motors, moisture sensors, high spin speeds, and higher EF, thermal efficiency, AFUE, SEER, and HSPF ratings.
